Been rocking this with my old ass slingbox av and it works great and looks great. When I installed the software I got the message that I should upgrade to atleast the slingbox solo but whats the point, it seems like everything is working for what I need it for.

thanks for the input, i have the same slingbox model so i was wondering if it everything would work... or if key featuers were missing. I haven't tried it yet, but sounds like good news.. i'll need it for a trip this summer.

I think the only difference with the solo is that it adds component connectors but that doesn't mean it will improve the quality once it gets to our phones. So for now I think the solo is a waste of money for the time being(if you are currently happy with your sling av), but one good thing to know is that slingbox.com has an upgrade special for current slingbox owners. All they need is your current serial number and they will give you a $50 discount on the new purchase.

Yeah i have the old first out slingbox and it works fine.Well when i am not moving as bad signal hits me at times.

But you can select full screen and it works full screen on the EVO.

and as the other guy said it looks as good as it is going to look on a phone.
