pandora or slacker radio?
 

i just got slacker b/c i saw it in the droid commercial, im gonna be comparing my results here over the next few days, if anyone has something to add i would love to hear it.

I never took to Slacker, I prefer Pandora and Last.FM :) Last has a great variety, better the Pandora's.

I might have to try Last.FM. I find Slacker to have better variety than Pandora but Pandora has better sound quality if I am not mistaken and they "mix" the music a little better playing like artists in succession and the like. It just seems Pandora has a much more limited album selection but I like the way they do it. So I end up using both for the heck of it. Little help I realize! :)

Pandora has commercials, I loath commercials, not sure of slacker

The free version of Slacker, like the free version of Pandora, has ads. I suppose that's why they are free. Paying for either removes the ads.

3 songs on slacker and i uninstalled it, song quality is just unacceptable. trying last.fm now too

I have been using Lastfm. for a while now and I love it. I would highly recommend it.

Moved to the Android Apps forum since its not specific to the Droid.

I have both installed but haven't really tried either lol.

I like Slacker, faults and all. :) I really like all the settings you can tweak with Slacker. Hopefully they can fix or find a better codec to push the music to Android devices. Pandora's selection and it's understanding of the artist you pick to their genre is horrible. Never have used LastFM, I'll give it a try sometime. :)

I tried the desktop version of Pandora before and it would play songs I picked, but then it would play artists I've never heard of and definitely wasn't my taste.

I started messing around with Slacker tonight and it seems pretty good. I'll use it some more and see if I can find a channel I like.

For those of you familiar with XM radio, I like what used to be Squizz, which is now Octane.
