Loving slacker, has a much better selection than pandora,i find it has much deeper tracks as well,a lot more of the less heard stuff than I was getting with pandora.

I just started trying out Last.FM too.

So far, it seems like it only plays songs from your selected artists, so as long as you add a lot of them to your playlist you should get a variety. There's no limits on skips like Slacker. There's no options for fine tuning your playlist either.

So if I just want to listen to my favorite artists I'll probably listen to Last.FM. If I don't mind a variety and some deeper tracks, then I'll do Slacker. As of now I don't see myself going back to Pandora though.

Thanks for the info Frosty. I really like Slacker on the PC but I don't want to pay to not have new artists discovered lol.

I don't like how you can't pause Last.FM :angry7: that alone may cause me stop using it

I like that Last.FM allows you to play music from your friend's profiles as well. That is a very cool feature and between my love for heavy/metal rock and my friend's diverse tastes, I can hear pretty much anything that I want.

How can I find you on there rainfreak? Sounds like we have similar tastes in music. My s/n is mindfrost82 there. When I searched for rainfreak the only one that showed was a 22 year old female from Austria lol.

That is obviously not me lol! Before I became rainfreak I was dvdfreak (I used to own hundreds and hundreds of DVD titles) and since I joined last.fm many years ago, that is what my username is. I sent you a friend request on there, so accept it and start jamming with me!

last.fm all the way.. pandora repeats to much. last.fm i have discovered so many new bands from overseas.. mostly metal/black metal/power metal/death metal/thrash..

Maybe that I have always been a freak, whether it is for rain, DVDs or whatever...
