How to turn off vibrate on Handcent SMS

Hello everyone! I just joined and this is my very first post. I hope this question hasn't been asked before.

I have my settings on Handcent SMS configured to Vibrate>Never, and I have my android settings to not vibrate. However, every time I get a text, it still vibrates. Does anyone know how I can turn that off? TIA.

Do you use Ringo Pro or another ringtone/alert manager?

Hi Rainfreak. No, I don't use that. Should I be? I still have not been able to make it not vibrate.

I like ChompSMS more than Handcent, so I am not positive on the settings for Handcent, but I know that ChompSMs has alert settings.

As for Ringo Pro, I like and use it. It allows for easy control of different alerts for SMS/MMS messages from contacts, so I can have my wife's and my monitoring server (for work servers) different from everyone else. I also use it to "nag" me for SMS/MMS messages, continually reminding me of an unread message.
