np, I think the caps in this case were more for clarity than anything. the db file is created when you open the app if it doesn't exist. I think the problem was you opened the app again to get to the update. (edit; I just notice you said you didn't open...? dunno.)
this was a one time deal due to adding a field to the database. future updates should be seamless again.
i'm sure dlichterman is glad you think it's a useful app. and I know any feedback is welcome, cuz that's howie doit @ ppcgeeks.
