Someone else was having the EXACT same problem as you, and we got it working for him finally... please try ONE more time, following these steps:

1. Remove the battery for a bit, then put it back in.
2. Run the flash utility to flash the phone.
3. When it reaches 100% and resets, disconnect the USB.
4. Remove the battery for a bit, then put it back in.
5. Hard reset the phone.
6. Let it run through customization.
7. Pray.

crap. i almost hate to because i have this one running perfectly again with all my programs and such.
