Re: Is There Any Other Way To Stream XM Radio Without A PC?

I had been listening to Sirius/XM Satellite radio on my touch pro using C-ApiSRO (C-Api Satellite Radio Online) and was so impressed by the sound quality (it's way better sounding than sirius through my actual satellite receiver which is plugged directly into the auxiliary jack in my car radio) I started looking into how to get di.fm to stream, since it has deep house, soulful house, vocal trance etc. All Stuff I love.

Install tcpmp

Install the AAC codec for windows mobile here:
http://www.rarewares.org/files/aac/t...obile.0.66.zip

Use Opera 9.5 and navigate to:
http://www.di.fm/mobile/

(or you can go to www.di.fm and you will have access to the higher quality 256k streams assuming you paid for di.fm instead of using the free version)

Now pick a stream and when opera asks you waht to do with the pls file, select OPEN.

tcpmp should open the stream and you should be enjoying the streaming music. Woohoo!

NOTE: I installed Winmobile 6.5 and TCPMP won't work. So I used the GSplayer instead, it works even better:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...yer-v2-28.html

In di.fm, I create a custom playlist of my favorite channels, click on the 256k stream (mp3) and gsplayer opens up with a lit of the channels and then I can listen to that in my car its great.

Be sure to assosiate pls files with gsplayer in gsplayer options.

di.fm is free for the lesser quality streams, the higher quality streams require paying $5 a month
