Depending on that and the kitchen you use determines how you'll use the file. Not very helpful, I know. I use ppckitchen, so usually all I have to do is put the sys folders in a .rar file and the dpi folders in a separate .rar file, add the .bin file (the xip) to the core folder, update my projects files to point to the right sys and dpi .rar files, and I'm good to go.
