Thanks for the info about Merdin's ROM. I flashed it over a week ago and have great battery life now. With heavy usage (checking email every 5 minutes, around 10 to 15 minutes web browsing per hour) I can get over 8 hours. Never got close to that with the stock ROM. You have been "thanked".
