Yes... and this is probably true for most people with Sprint. However, I drive semi truck over a good portion of the US. So I run through areas with DNS issues ALL THE TIME. It happens in blocks around the country it seems... I imagine that they can probably use one DNS server address to service a large area of the US.. but just because things are peachy on the west coast it doesnt mean that the east coast is feeling the same way.

As far as Comcast goes... well.. the part of the country I am in bitches about their DNS problems all the time. Take a gander at broadbandreports.com and their forums. They have a forum just for Comcast (and other providers). When problems arise, that site lights up like a Christmas tree with activity... so its easy to diagnose problem areas by seeing where everybody is posting from.
