Well, DNS is the locating service for interweb traffic. Without DNS, you would all have to type in numbers instead of friendly names for sites. So lets try this...

For those of you having trouble with locating sites on the internet - yet speedtests all come out great...

First try typing in http://www.ppcgeeks.com and see how long it takes to load (if at all). After a minute or so, if the page hasn't snapped up yet, or if it took forever long to load...

Try typing in http://208.113.163.51 and see if anything different happens. If the page loads fast/normal to you, then you clearly have a DNS issue and its related to the DNS server you have applied to your connection. If you are pulling your DNS server address from Sprint - then yeah you are likely gonna have trouble with it from time to time. Sprint has probably the worst DNS servers I have seen in a long time - and I even have COMCAST internet at home (so I should know all about bad DNS.. )

For those of you trying this without results... you have to make sure that the CM_Guardian file is GONE from your startup directory... if not, every change you make will get re-borked after a soft reset. Its there to keep us from F@@king up (read-Improving) our devices because Sprint wants them all setup the same way.

Try what I said above... you can use the digits to any website even without working Domain Name translation servers. Without DNS though, PPCGeeks.com is nothing more than 208.113.163.51...

***EDIT***

I just clicked the link above and for whatever reason, Firefox won't load the site on my computer

In place of http://www.ppcgeeks.com you can use http://www.microsoft.com
and
In place of http://208.113.163.51 you can use http://207.46.197.32

http://www.microsoft.com is equal to http://207.46.197.32
