If for some reason down the road you have problems with calls/texts/gps/data connection, then you should install the carrier cab to eliminate that as a possible culprit. Sometimes that data gets overwritten or erased by certain things, but it's not that common.
Usually, I just install it, but it really doesn't matter.
The carrier cab has the GPS info in it already, and enables aGPS
(if not already enabled in the custom rom) and a few other things.
But like I said, if it's working fine,
then no need in installing it.
