NRGZ,
Well i would like to thank you for COMPLETELY ruining me! I must say you have achieved your 3 primary goals. There is absolutely NO comparison...this is, by far, the fastest/snappiest 6.5 rom to date(i beleive i have tried all the available 6.5 roms).
I absolutely love the features you installed and cannot live without several of them. Hence ruining me. It is SO hard to go back to another rom which i am debating for a couple of reasons that i thought i would post - thinking it could be helpful as it is a work in progress. There are only a few issues that i am dealing with(some of them may have been posted already):
- I have an Alltel TP. I have had this installed for a couple of days(including the newest one posted yesterday). I have truly been blown away by the speed. However, on my phone, i do get a completely random, occasional freeze which forces a soft reset several times throughout the day. I am not sure if it is crashing because this thing is so fast or what, but it is definately random(not a certain program that causes it).
- The Windows start menu will not work sometimes until a soft reset. This has only happened 2 or 3 times but is pretty frustrating.
- The startup animation does not work. It seems to skip right over it. (it is named corrected and target correctly in the registry). It just doesn't want to play. Hardly an "issue" but hard to overlook when you are an obsessive geek. I would love to figure this out. My searches have not yielded any solutions.
- The dialer is really sluggish on my phone. This one is tough because i think the dialer is AWESOME, but it forces me to say to myself, "is it that cool to justify the sacrifice?" The problem is, it kind of is that cool so i havent had the heart to change it. Ug.
- With great speed comes great battery drain. The battery seems to drain MUCH faster than i am comfortable with.
Being willing to live with the above is a true testimony to the speed of this ROM. LoL. Not sure how you rev'd it up so much but it is REALLY noticable.
Really nice job and thanks for sharing it with us! I am still in a bit of shock at how snappy it is. I just wish it wasn't crashing so much.
