FYI, this trick does
NOTHING for bandwidth.
Nothing.
It's a DNS lookup, that is it translates things like
www.google.com into it's IP address. That's it!
Any loss in speed detected via DSLReports is either due to heavy traffic at the moment, your ISP is capping your speeds (happened to me), or you're just getting poor speeds due to poor ISP service.
The only way to "measure" speed with this trick is maybe via latency not bandwidth. Either way, using DSLReports is unnecessary.
