You can also set it up to be recognised as a modem. Once you plug it into your machine, just have it dial *99#. This initiates a data connection on GSM networks. You can now use your phone as a wireless modem. That is all software such as PDANet and ModemLink do. They just use existing technological capabilties built into your phone and charge you $25 for the priveledge of thinking you are doing something "special" with thier sofware. This method will also not use any air time. You only use airtime when you are using CSD
