I still don't see it. Placing anything on the phone won't allow the "gyro" to sense any change as far as I can tell. This would only work if you actually used the phone as a real balance scale, which would necessitate fairly precise placement of a pencil or something underneath as a fulcrum, right? It might also require accurate reference weights. Under this theory, my pager can also be used as a balance scale.

Besides, the Touch Pro doesn't contain any actual gyros, does it? Aren't the position sensors accelerometers?
