Re: exchanging broken flashed omnia

My phone stopped working (it would boot but would never reach the Today screen) after I had flashed the CC20 beta ROM and Adrynalyne's 1.4 ROM. I took it into my friendly Verizon store and they replaced it.

Did I brick it? I don't think so, and I suspect that it was trashed by a static charge (it spontaneously reset when I connected the USB cable). In some ways I was lucky because it would never get past the Verizon startup screen. If it had gotten into Adrynalyne's boot logo it would have been obvious to even the slowest VZW employee that I had flashed the ROM. Since mine would never get past the Verizon startup screen, short of doing some kind of RAM dump I don't that there's any way that they could tell I wasn't running the stock ROM.

Incidentally, if you've flashed to the CC20 ROM can't you tell that it's not the original ROM by going to Start/Settings/System/Version? Mine says "N/A" for ROM Version. Don't phones with the original ROM say something different?
