-I've been hoping for something like this too. I mean my old Nokia6682 does this (with *.3gp's AND *.mp4's) for free. But HTC and Qualcomm have just never teamed up to create proper video drivers. htcclassaction.org is one example of how frustrating this one aspect of their devices can be.
I mean, all they would have to do is start giving out extended batteries standard and fix the drivers and we'd be all set.

Sorry for the mini-rant but I guess it's been on my mind too, lol.
