I am going to hard reset, re-flash and hard reset to see if that helps.
Search this thread for the wallpapers someone posted, it's all the wallpapers I included in the ROM but re-sized to 640x640. Using those it takes no more than 2 seconds to rotate to landscape by sliding out the keyboard.
