In order to get your Live Messenger back you have to re-install Windows Live. I don't have a .cab for it, but you can search the forum threads or better yet, you can go to the microsoft windows mobile website and download it for free... Here's the link:

The other option is to install Oz Instant Messenger, which is the software that was part of the original Sprint Stock ROM. It includes Live Messenger, AIM and Yahoo! Messenger. Here's the .cab file for that. Hope this helps...
