More or less ... same/same.

In that I am using BePe's latest PlatformRebuilder kitchen, the XIP exists as folders and is built in much the same way that the OEM/SYS folders are built. That being the case, porting the XIP is very much the same or at least very similar to porting a SYS.

While it is true that a (generic) payload file is still referenced as part of the build process, that file (as I understand it) is not used for XIP content.
