Not an issue. It's how the program works (I like it like that.) Outlook does the exact same thing for emails.

Well, that'd be an MMS not and SMS. As stated in the OP, MMS is not supported yet.

why are they now missing from Start? How do I get them back?
This actually sounds un-related to the Palm messaging. It happens like this: for some reason, you didn' t have your card in OR it failed to read. The start menu failed to register them and/or you ran MemMaid or SKTools and they were removed (as they were seen as dead links).

Only way is a pain: create new shortcuts for you apps.

Why keep them on the card, btw? It's things like this that make me keep all my apps in main mem: much more stable.
