I bought that adapter only to discover that it stays in headset mode as long as the adapter is plugged in, even if the headphones are unplugged.

So if you're wearing your favorite headset (w/o a mic) jamming on some tunes and you get an incoming call, the only way to answer the call is to unplug the adapter since the phone's mic is automatically turned off.

I have tried using the speakerphone during call, but while it acknowledges your button press, the speakerphone is permanently off as long as the adaptor is plugged in. Which is odd because the speakers are loud and clear when the phone rings for an incoming call.

Because of that, I'm guessing it's a software issue as the phone assumes that you're wearing a headset with a built in mic. HOWEVER, the 2.5 headset adapter that comes with the Mogul does allow the Mogul to know when the headset is plugged into the adapter and it will allow you to take your call on speakerphone.

I'm thinking that with a little more quality control, the adaptor would be able to tell the mogul that a headset isn't plugged in. Since that isn't the case, is there a tweak to override the software to allow you to use the speakerphone while the Semsons adapter is plugged in?
