Ok, well, I've done this a good amount of times now, ribbon is definitely secure.
When you slide the phone open, the lights still come on, but when I push any buttons, the backlight doesn't come back on. Also, if you turn the screen off and on, it doesn't light back up. Basically, it'll only power the backlight if I were too slide the keyboard open. Still, either way, dead keyboard. I guess...I'm just incredibly unlucky. Not to mention the fact I'm hacked on the VZW, so I can't even buy a new one cause they closed the loophole to activate...so upset.
