Re: [ROM] [MAY.08.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

I searched & googled, but not having much luck finding very much info on this...

I flashed MR5 shortly after it came out. I have kept up on all the updates/hotfixes. Love the ROM.

About a week ago, I started having trouble...activesync would stop getting push mail, other little weirdnesses...I'd soft reset, and all would be good. Quickly tho, I noticed that the phone would sometimes seem to hang while booting, getting stuck at various splash pages...so i'd soft-reset again...and the phone would actually clear itself as if I had done a hard-reset. I ended up reflashing MR5, thinking i had a bad flash.

My problems continued...last week i went to Merdin's 6.5 ROM to see if it was ROM specific...it wasn't. Soft-resets were still causing hard-resets. I went back to MR5...started thinking I was having hardware issues with my phone.

But, tonight I was searching and stumbled across a post in the diamond forum about someone with a similar problem. He stated that there was an issue "that everyone's talking about" about how 6.5 is causing soft-resets to result in hard-resets, and that the only way to fix the issue is to reflash to a stock ROM. I have been searching and googling all night, and haven't found any other references to this issue, but it describes my situation perfectly. Post #12 over here:

I would have no problem flashing to stock, but i have a verizonized sprint touch pro, and now that VZW has closed the *228 opt 3 activation loophole, i'm worried that if I flash to stock, i won't be able to reactivate it on VZW.

Does anyone have any info on the soft/hard resetting issue, and/or any info on how I might flash to Sprint stock without having to reconfigure the phone for VZW and reactivating?
