ok, flashed to JD's rom posted on the first page and i now get the double bluetooth icon issue but my headset still acts teh same way. i can hear the other person, but my mic does not work. i paired it with my wife's phone and i get teh same thing, so it must be the headset itself. mother.......!!

thanks for the help. i never would have thought to check to see if the headset was the problem.
Anytime bro. Sorry to hear it was the headset and not something easy, and free, that you could have fixed. If it makes you feel any better, my wife washed my last BT headset with my jeans...
