Instead of sending your phone in because of a bad battery cover, misaligned touch-screen, or malfunctioning software, everyone just throw your phone into a pool at once (if you have TEP). This way, we'll all get 6800 for the $50 deductable. By sending it in to be "replaced" you're simply getting another user's 6700, from this forum, that they simply ship to another store to give back out with the same problems! We're all sharing the same crappy 6700.
Seriously though, does anyone know any tricks to "requesting" a 6800 replacement and "bending the rules" to sprint store policies? There's gotta be a way...

Actually that would be worse.
When your phone is "lost" or "stolen" you have to file a claim with Asurion. Asurion has all the shitty phones from back in the day. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they still have some G1000's.
When you take it into the store, you either get a replacement right then and there, or they order one from Sprint's warehouse (I think it depends on what protection package you have). So if Sprint doesn't have it, you'll get a Mogul or whatever else they have.
And even if I could get a Mogul through Asurion, I wouldn't, because I don't commit fraud. Shopping for a store that might give me a Mogul for an Apache with legitimate issues may be less than honest, but it's a far cry from giving my fiancee my Apache as a GPS device and telling Sprint that I lost it.
