Re: Audio Adapter?
After reading a lot of forums I found a solution that needs no soldering or cutting. I used two items purchased on ebay.
1. The micro USB to standard Host USB cable ($8") mentioned in this forum: http://www.wmexperts.com/treo-800w-usb-host-port-works
2. The Syba USB to 3.5mm Audio Adapter / USB Sound Card # SD-CM-UAUD, USB to 3.5mm stereo headset adapter ($9-$13) mentioned in this forum:

Plug in and presto, you have a stereo headset jack plus microphone jack! Enjoy!
Bonus: The micro USB to standard Host USB cable works with other USB devices. I use it with my external USB hard drive, gaming USB headset and flash memory card reader.
There is also a micro USB splitter or "Y" cable available that you could also add that would allow external power to charge while listening.
Warning: Do not purchase the cheaper ($2) hong kong USB audio sound adaptors because they draw more than 100ma current and the audio will have a loud "crackle". If you don't believe me you can buy the cheap one from me that I tried. Works fine plugged in the desktop but no go with the 800w.
