The sys/xip that I linked to isn't compressed at all, and can easily be used with an existing Calcu kitchen. His rom does have a compressed and uncopmpressed version, but that has nothing to do with the SYS he posted. I'm using it, and it is very stable and all elements work, including Opera and Youtube (which have been issues with some 6.5 builds in the past).
You were saying that you needed a new challenge, so here's what I'll suggest.. Learn to port a sys/xip -- it's really not that hard. I'll help you, if you want.

Inda, your offer is intriguing! I've considered learning to port a sys/xip but hadn't had time to really plow through the forums to learn. I just might take you up on the offer in the near future if my schedule opens up a bit more. Thanks for giving me the conficence to try!
