you could try the reg edit

hkcu/software/microsoft/inernet exploree/main/default storage location
you may have to add the key

All Files="\temp" or where ever you want to store them. although from my experience pie will crash, hang up, and be extremely slow all on its own even with eveything directed to the internal memory or main memory. pie is really only good for viewing mobile formated websites
