Just out of curiosity what operating system are you using on your pc.. I had that same problem same error when I had the regular touch... Spoke to someone at HTC and they told me some phones had a problem with vista and for me to do it with xp. .... just a thought but if you have done it before then there should not be a prob.... also make sure your comp is just rebooted and no programs are running maybe something is messing with it... hope everything gets worked out
