First, Let me say that TP2 is a "Beta" project that has been abandoned by Xbox. However, even as beta, it is usuable by most users. I run on my TP with no problems, and am quite happy with it. However, as an abandoned beta, you must accept the fact that you may run inot other unsolvable 'bugs' down the line.
It turns out that the version included in SSK2 is defective. If you really like TP2 and want to use it, I recommend one of 2 options.
1) If you have a copy of the 1.7 kitchen, replace the current TP2 files with the ones from 1.7. You will still have to add a couple of patches to get them to work properly, but it can be done.
2) Burn a new ROM with no Manila, then manuallly add the TP2 cabs from the XBOX site. Again, you will have to add a couple of extra items. I will help with that one also.

TF3D Config is incompatible with TP2. It cannot be used at all. The developer is working on a version that will be compatible, but I have not heard anything about a release date.

hTorch and the Pedometer should work with TP2 to the best of my knowledge. Your problem there could be the defective TP2 version you have. We will have to look at that after you install a good version.

if neither of those options is satisfactory, then you will have to use any of the other manilas which are not TP2.
