Performing regular cleaning is always a good idea. You can use something like MemMaid or SKTools for that.

Also, if you are saving your cookies, temp files, etc. to your storage card this will cause the occassional closing of PIE. Save them to your device memory.

So my advice...check where your temp files, etc. are being saved.
