As was already mentioned, yes you'll have to flash again. To get applications reinstalled and your device configured as you had it before, try
Sashimi. The video tutorial can help you get up to speed using it pretty quick. It's free and works great. Once things are setup with Sashimi, you can sync your PIM data from Outlook or you'll need to have a backup of your PIM data to restore. Using Sashimi, you know you've always got a fresh install of applications on the new ROM.
