Did you install it to main memory? Did you do a soft reset after install?

Edit: More important question - How is the Opera Favorites plugin installed on your phone? This is setup to edit registry key [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\Opera] and replaces the opera9.mscr file so the import automatically adds the star icon.

Thats the key that the original opera favorites installer used and the key used by my rom's. If your adding opera favorites manually then this might not work since it might be added under a different registry key.

Do you know which registry key your is under?
