I'm using the pointui right now, and everything seems to be good, it looks like the battery meter is right on the bottom on the right side of the pointui icon, along with the signal meter on the left. It is a little hard to navigate, maybe just needs some time to get used to it. Can't wait for v3.5 though. HURRY!!!!!!! lol.
