I re-read my post and it sounded rude...sorry. As you said you can press and hold an image in file explorer or in windows picture viewer and then click set as background on the pop-up menu. But in HTC album, there's no such option. Its just a hassle for someone as lazy as me to open and close pics 1 by 1 looking for the one I want to use as a background before setting it (I can't just browse them in HTC Album since it doesn't tell you the image name).
Anyhow, DSI76's method is definitely cleaner so I'll include that in any future releases and just replace the shortcut in the start menu to point directly to pimg.exe instead of getting its setting from the registry. Then my stupid little problem is solved lol.
