I use iGO8 (has TTS) and it works pretty well. I actually prefer TomTom7 but it doesn't have TTS so I stuck with iGO. iGuidance 2009 (and previous versions) also has TTS but I did not like the interface at all (outdated and not finger friendly).

I'm on a Sprint Touch Pro.

See, now I thought TomTom 7 was one of those that did have TTS. Maybe this thread will get some definitive answers in it and help others out, too.
