after performing a ##786# reset i have found to be the only way to do a true hard reset on the treo i did the method that was discribed in the manual and it would reset to default but my number and name was saved into the phone. So i have a feeling this is not a true HARD RESET but by going to the ##786# menu and doing a reset and entering ur msl it clears everything also after doing this method a normal hard reset must be done to get the phone to power back on if not it hangs on the treo screen...............
