Honestly, I don't need storage, the 4gb card provides plenty for me and I don't add a lot of applications.
Generally what I look for in a ROM is the theme (like dialer and stuff). Icons along the top. Make sure it's running a reliable SYS (non 6.5 for me). Updated Rhodium notifcations/menu.
I try to keep the ROMS as untouched as possible. Reliability, battery life and productivity is the most important features for me. Then it needs to look good.
And sometimes I just like to mix it up a little, see if I'm missing anything.
