do you have flash installed? that could be your problem. I was having the same problem but then I uninstalled flash and that fixed it.... I saw a post somewhere addressing this issue as well... i was actually looking for it and stumbled apond this post... anyway I remember it having some interesting solutions allowing you to keep flash installed but being able disable and reable it when needed.... I should have payed more attention, but at the time i wasn't having a problem running youtube with flash installed.... anyway I hope someone else can help both of us and guide us in the right direction... otherwise my quest continues lol
