I can second this. first of all I believe it uses a data connection, and secondly it's map coverage is very spotty. Granted last time i tried it was about 6 months or so ago, so it could have gotten better.

on the other hand, Google navigator has always been interesting to me. I haven't bought it yet because I'm not sure how well I like the interface, but it seems ideal for us diamond owners out there with limited storage space. supposedly you type in your course, after it plots the course for you, it allows you to download the map for your course. that way you can delete it later and save your storage space. but its hard to get a good feel for the program, because the trial version limits some features, rather than a full trial for a limited amount of time. but after playing around with the limited trial, it doesn't seem worth $60, and would have been better as an upgrade to Google maps. Either that, or I would pay $60 as an add on the Google maps program just because the UI is that much better.
