When I load the custom ROMs I get to the same place (screen setup) where it fails. My biggest problem is that I can't get the stock ROM past the bootloader. I've downloaded it twice to make sure I didn't have a bad copy. I just need to get back to stock so I can relock - I have a warranty phone coming on Tuesday. But... when I said there was an issue with the screen they said I would have to pay the full price of the phone if it was water damage. It's not, but how do I know they won't make that claim?

Razorlove - thanks for the help so far...

You're welcome man. Sucks that your screen went bad. Mine just developed that oily rectangle a few weeks ago. It's still working fine though. Ok... have you tried flashing with your computer with the phone in bootloader mode? To do that you have to have activesync (for XP) or WMDC (for Vista) installed. Then, remove mem card and put your phone into bootloader mode (tricolor screen), then connect the phone to computer (you should here the computer make a ding dong sound like it's recognizing a usb device and on the phone you should see it say USB at the bottom of the screen. Then run that shipped rom exe file. Let me know how that goes. good luck
