Its normal for the VZ TP to have this bulge. Mine has it also. If you go back to the VZ store and demand a new TP it'll most likely have it too. If there is no bump, after a few days with playng with the dpad itll show up. All I can say is get used to it if you can. Unless VZ comes out with a new build I doubt you will get a Tp without a bump.
