try lllboredlll's verizon lean rom, it runs pretty good and it's the best place to start with. i like it because of the left over flash memory it leaves for actual usage. remember, having a loaded rom means you have all the app installers BURNED into flash so that a hard reset gets you back up and running pretty quick. it saves time and makes it really simple (plus there's a few apps that only work when part of the rom) but you won't have a lot of memory left over. of course you can also just get a microsd card, lol.

i've tried all sorts of roms in my spare time but i always go back to stock rom for its stability and responsiveness. no offense to the guys who make the roms, i mean they are REAL heroes. just try what you can and see what works for you. and if nothing works make your own

i've gotten tp2's touchflo3d working good, if i can just get the new htc keyboard working i'll be happy.
