Alright, so i performed a hard reset, flashed, set my ringtone from my music folder. it was all good. then when i went into Settings>Personal>Phone i got the ringer corruption error. I'm guessing if you change ringers through manila it should be no problem. but if you go through the settings folder then that could possibly lead to the ringer corruption. so avoid it i guess.
