I just recently purchased a Samsung Saga, but have been seeing that my battery life isn't too great due to living in a fringe EVDO area. I would like to force my phone to always be in 1X mode (never look for EVDO signal).

I have read on this forum about the registry hack of:
- Navigate to \\\registry\HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\
- Change the value of 'HiddenModeOperationPage' from 1 to 0

However, when I look in the SOFTWARE folder, I don't have an OEM folder in order to enable this menu. Am I doing something wrong or is this not an option at all on the Saga?
