If we need testing then I can, I just don't want to install the fix cab for that if we need to test things.....
and I know this is a dumb question, but when you install the faster 2d and 3d cabs, what do they do? And is it a wise descision to run these cabs? I figure yes because they wouldn't be included otherwise, I just never have and I have been very pleased with the speeds of things.... (Sorry for the noob question)

Good questions. The ringer thing is up in the air still. I don't get it because I auto-install the cab I posted earlier, with Sashimi, each time I flash and I use a wav file as my ringer (opening guitar riff from Sonic Youth's Schizophrenia... lol). So, I have never had the ringer issue ever. On a side note, I have not had the camera black screen issue yet, but that doesn't mean it's not still out there.
As for the video drivers, the ones I go with, and have for the longest time, are the Omnia drivers. I have tried, several times to go back to the default CDMA drivers, but they never perform as well. The standard theory is that you will get better 3d performance with the CDMA drivers, although I question that. Anyway, the 2 cabs are there so you can switch between the drivers. Running the 3d cab will get you the CDMA drivers back. I, personally, just recommend staying with the Omnia drivers, as I have it by default, but it will not hurt your phone to switch.
*edit* To further answer your question about the new kitchen... my kitchen is based on Calkulin's kitchen, as I have mentioned before, in my blog, etc... so basically, what happens is when he releases a new kitchen, I get it, then strip it down and add in all my own stuff. It takes me a couple hours to prep when his kitchens come out, although I am getting that process more streamlined. Just mentioning this in case you guys were curious about the process.
