its been a while since i had to get rid of my pin because i go about it a diff way now (i use seven which is free ATM for exchange) but if you search you can fin a pin breaker which removes the forced option but should allow you to use exchange still. I hated that those options were forced on my phone, especially when i had to use numbers and letters!

yes, i know it's for security and it's my personal phone, but having it lock after 5 mins is ridiculous!
