I feel for the guys working on this project (mm & lr to name a couple). As many have said, these guys are working for free and trying to do a KA job while all the time there are members of the community chomping at the bit wanting the product. I'm an old school IT administrator. We had a saying that whatever a programmer quoted you for the time needed to complete a project we had to triple that time whenever we told the customer/end user. That wisdom seems to hold true here!
But that being said, I think the problem was created when it was stated that "soon" or "very soon" a ROM was to be released. That was over a week ago. About that time I posted a short message on this topic simply asking "Define soon". Never got a reply but I didn't expect one.
I am ok waiting since 4.16 isn't too bad and now Juicy 7 is out. Copper didn't work for me. I had so many patches on it that I lost control of it and it still had weird hangs. But..... when one reads a message that says "soon" we find ourselves jumping into the thread way too often looking for that "one rom to rule them all".
I know this message may result in a blanket statement of "it'll be ready when it's ready" but in many ways, I would rather have that stand and not waste so much time lurking.
I really respect AND enjoy the products the top chefs put out so I do not mean this in any negative or disrectful way. I am trying to offer a solution to the anarchy taking place by a few that may distract from the final product.
Great job MMike! Keep it up. I'll wait for the product. Your past ROMs have been some of the best that I have run on my TP.
